Thank you @JoeBabaian for asking

20150708_192653Joe, when you asked the other day to have me show off some of my wife’s work it got me thinking.  I am not going to show you a final product but rather the work in progress.  My wife has been able to turn a dream into a functional and very therapeutic reality.  Starting as a student six years ago, now with a proper studio and test firing of her kiln last night for the first time.

The creative process, the evolution of a mass of gumbo, kneaded shaped and spun, waiting to be low fired, glazed then high fired.  The picture attached represents hours of work, training and passion to mold the mud pieces drying on the shelves.

This process is hard to describe, but your never ending work, is not unlike this art/science of pottery just a different substrate to mold.

Joe, thank you for asking, but more importantly thank you for all your work and what you are creating.
